Electrodeposition Painting

image40.jpeg

Electroplating is a unique coating system in which an entire car body is immersed in a large bath of E-coat. A coating film that guarantees rust-prevention performance is formed on both the exterior surface and the complex interior structures of the car body. A 0.1 mm-thick automotive coating film is formed and has multiple functions, including design performance for a beautiful appearance, weatherability, anti-chipping performance, and rust prevention performance. The E-coat forms a base film, only one-fifth the thickness of a human hair, to protect cars from rust.

Electrodeposition painting and coating (E-Coat) processes play an important role in minimizing paint defects and ensuring a high-quality finished product. Water quality in the rinsing stages, E-Coat systems, and Ultrafiltration (UF) can reduce paint defects, resulting in greater production efficiency.

Advantages:

  • Coating in hard-to-reach areas;

  • Excellent corrosion protection;

  • Uniformity in the applied layer;

  • Environmentally friendly (water-based, free of heavy metals, low VOC, low waste and low fire risk);

  • Automated and reliable process (low maintenance and labor);
